There are situations when you need a cash loan immediately—even though most stores, banks, and other financial venues are closed. If it's outside of normal business hours (and you simply have no cash in your accounts), you'll likely have some limited options. But it's not impossible, if you're willing to do a little work.

1. Online Payday Loans

Most payday loan companies will close during the day, but that's not true for an online payday loan service. There are online payday loan services which may be able to wire you money directly, though you'll likely have to call them and speak with them about your income and your credit. One of the benefits of a payday loan is that it usually won't require that you have sterling credit—you just need steady wages.

2. Online Classified Ads

If you have items around your house that you no longer need, you can try selling them quickly through a classified ad. Online classified ads can be listed within a matter of minutes, and you may be able to make a deal quickly. There is one caveat however: always be safe. Most police stations will let you conduct a classified ad sale inside of their precinct or inside of their parking lot.

3. Instant Credit Lines

If you do have credit, you may be able to apply to an instant credit line. There are certain types of credit that you can get immediately—in particular, medical credit will usually be able to give you an instant approval. Traditional credit cards, on the other hand, may take a week or two because they will need to send you the physical card. Make sure you call the support line first to make sure that you can get access to the credit line right away.

4. Pawn Shops

There are some 24 hour pawn shops, though it's likely going to be a trek to the heart of downtown to get to one. These pawn shops will give you funds in return for goods, though you may need to verify ownership of the goods first. Additionally, you may be able to get your items back if you want them—or sell them outright for more money, if you don't need them anymore.

Of course, if you can wait until morning, you will likely have more options—but the above options also work during weekends, when traditional financial institutions are often closed. If you need money outside of business hours, you will often need to pay more, but the payment is for convenience.
